Beach House Renovation
This job was the shortest commute to a work-site ever for the CGA team. Renovation and conversion are a regular part of our business, dealing with out of square, old rotten timber and everything that goes with it, is just a given. This job, taking out the old timber windows and replacing them with new aluminium windows and doors, involved some strategic thinking about not only the installation but the finished result for the family – as there were no follow on carpenters on this job (only the painter came after us). Purpose made coverplates and picture frames angle trims finish the job externally off neatly.
The job featured, Breezeway louvres including a mixture of glass and aluminium blades (the client wanted the front of the beach house to feel like it had shutters), Crimsafe security screens (fixed and Safe-S-Capes), aluminium hinged entry doors, fixed lites and double hungs. Because some of the homes face to the west, we utilised a fixture of standard grey glass and Low E glass to minimise the impact of the radiant heat in the afternoon.
