Flying start – our part in building a stronger Queensland.
Central Glass and Aluminium was proud to be part of the Flying Start pilot program in 2012, with the completion of the new Year Seven building at Southport State High School. The project featured Capral series windows and doors manufactured by us, together with Crimsafe security screens and the new Breezway Stronghold louvre system. This Building was part of 20 new Flying start buildings across the State.
From 2015 Year 7 becomes the first year of high school in Queensland.Moving Year 7 is a significant project across Queensland, resulting in a wide range of changes not only within the curriculum but also including the building of many new classrooms and buildings in fact. Following on from the success of the Prep Year, the change of commencement age for school, these transitions will result in all students coming in line across Australia, giving them a significant advantage for the future.
Already we are underway with another Flying Start building at Helensvale State High School, check out how the building is starting to take shape.
Under Alder Constructions, the project is already out of the ground and moving ahead. This new multi-storey building features our Capral commercial series windows and doors, Breezway Altair louvres and Crimsafe security products in line with the specifications. The project is due for completion in this year – ready for the influx of new Year 7 students in 2015. So watch this space for more images as to the project unfolds.
