Completed as part of the celebrations for the Queens Jubilee, this massive extension to the Hospital involved the manufacture of jockey sash windows with integral venetian blinds through to the installation of 21 automatic sliding doors.
The glass used as been dubbed QEII green and was made to meet the precise specifications of the Architectural team, including the addition of Renew a self cleaning coating allowing for easy maintenance.
This is a time lapse demonstration of the latest Endoalpha surgical unit installation by Central Glass and Aluminium crew at the QEII Hospital, Brisbane as part of the extension in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee.
It was with great excitement as we waited the arrival of the mystery boxes from Germany. Crate after crate arrived and as we were unpacking them we felt like a Master Chef contestant facing the mystery box.
Only the second of its kind in Australia, the Endoalpha surgical pods offer state of the art equipment and facilities.
The first unit was installed on the Gold Coast at the John Flynn Hospital.
The whole project’s installation went off without a hitch, but we were particularly proud of our smooth installation for this facility.
