Often asked to offer our advice. Unlike Lawyers and Accountants, who bill for every question – our answers are free, sometimes they yield a result for us as a business, other times we walk away knowing that we have aided in debunking a mystery or sending the customer to a wiser direction.
So is there any mystery to the world of windows?
Well the answer is yes and no!
I know not much of an answer – but it all depends on the question posed. Perhaps, an example is the best demonstration – this customer at the end of a frustrating journey in the world that is windows and doors, finally makes contact with us at Central Glass and Aluminium.
So what is the question I hear you asking – the client wants within their residential window, to insert another sliding window in to the lower fixed part of the window (a low lite in industry speak) to gain more breeze.
The customer had spoken to 5 different window companies being told on each occasion she would need a new window. So selling a new window was the focus of each of these organisations.
Despite this message and being undeterred, the customer approached us – and – our answer was different to all the rest. Yes we could install something that would give her breeze – no it could not be another sliding window because of the system that she had, as it would collapse in on itself. But yes we had a cost effective solution. So, despite a no – there was also a yes.
Thus, I reiterate it depends on the question!
Check out the before and after photos. The customer was so pleased they have already placed an order for a second window to be converted. With the added benefit of newly fitted Crimsafe security screens, to the entire window this customer has the benefit of both breeze and safety.
