They don’t let me out of the office often – usually chained to the desk pricing – pricing – pricing. Well that’s what it feels like I do all the time anyway.
Last week I got to go to site and be a movie extra – in the production of our handover pack for our client (Glenzeil Constructions)for their client Aquinas College on the Gold Coast.
The purpose was to show the correct opening and closing procedures on a very large bi-folding window we have installed. It was a Capral Artisan servery bi-folding window.
Why – you may ask?
Because it is a bi-folding window nearly 8 metres on length. That fact is probably the first point I need to make. There is no sill – no guide track.
So, yes, a training video was required to ensure that the client understood the opening and closing method required to keep this monster in tip top working order for many years to come. Always behind the camera, I was surprised to be caught on film – but there I am.
To top off the installation in the Tuckshop – the bi-fold was fitted with retractable.
Half of the Artisan sill-less bifold with the retractable flyscreen half way down on bay 1.
Close up of the sill lock – note no track in sight.
Opening the bifold.
The first 2 leaves of the bifold out – the next 2 leaves are still sitting in place.
The view from the distance of the 2 leaves out.
