Pivot and hinge doors are all about the scale of what you can do with a glass door.
The style for glass these days is scale. The bigger the better. In retail and hospitality, more glass means people can see more of what you’ve got. At home, it means more light and more of the view. (And a bit of a WOW for drama.)
When it comes to glass doors, pivot and hinge doors allow for incredible height and width. You can run the door all the way to the ceiling — there’s no barrier above the door.
You might think weight would be a problem with a pivot door that can be anywhere up to 3 metres tall and 1.5 metres wide but it isn’t because of the way the pivot box works. It provides a seamless, easy swing, even for heavy doors.
Hinged doors can reach these heights as well, although 1.1 metres is about the limit in width of a hinge door.
